Description

Allegria Court, dating to circa 1830, was once part of the original layout of St Leonards, designed by Decimus Burton and initially occupied by James Burton. The building's best facade faces east, overlooking St Leonards Gardens, which were originally the Subscription Gardens. It is a two-storey structure with four windows. The exterior is stuccoed. The north bay projects, featuring a gable with scalloped bargeboards, a two-floor six-light canted bay window, and a castellated parapet (from which the castellations are missing). The remainder of the front features wide eaves casement windows and a ground-floor verandah, part of which is missing. A verandah is also present on the south front. The roof is slate-covered. The north elevation is two and two-and-a-half storeys with five windows, three small attic gables, scalloped bargeboards, and dripmoulds over the windows.
