Description

This is a house, dating from the late 16th century, with extensions added in the 17th century and a restoration and further extension in the mid-20th century. The house is constructed of timber framing with brick infill, and brick, with an old tile gabled roof. It has an irregular plan, presenting three gables to the southwest, and a large 20th-century extension to the northwest. The house is two storeys high with an attic. The chimneys have largely been rebuilt.

The southwest front features three gables. Each gable has a small leaded casement window in the attic. The first floor has a six-light leaded wooden mullioned and transomed window in each of the two right-hand gables and similar windows in the left-hand gable. The ground floor mirrors the first floor in the right-hand gables, and has two four-light windows in the left-hand gable. A 20th-century timber-framed porch with a door sits between the left and centre gables, with single leaded lights between the right-hand gable and the centre. The northeast front has rainwater heads made of cast lead, dated 1674.

Inside, a fine late 16th-century open newel staircase remains.
