Description

No. 2 Denmark Street is a house that has been converted into shops and offices. It dates from the early 17th century and was altered in the 19th century. The building features a mix of timber framing encased in render and brick, with old tile roofs that are both gabled and hipped. It has a cross gabled T-plan with two framed bays, two gables on the north side, and two hipped roof extensions at the rear. The structure is two storeys high with attics. The front has two bays that are rendered, with sash windows set in architrave frames. There are two 20th-century shop windows on the ground floor that do not hold special interest. Inside, the building has queen post roof trusses.
