Description
Angelo's House is a late 18th-century building, dating from around 1780 to 1790, and served as a boys' house for Eton College. It is constructed of red brick and stands three storeys tall, featuring six double-hung sash windows set in reveals with sills and flat arches. The first-floor windows are adorned with cast iron balconettes.
The entranceway showcases wood panelled pilasters with "Tower of the Winds" capitals, an entablature with a modillion cornice and a half-broken pediment. It has a round-headed archway with an archivolt, flush panelled spandrels, a carved impost band, a fielded panelled reveal, a traceried fanlight, and a six-fielded panel door. There is a dummy window on the right side of the first floor. The building has a parapet and an old tile mansard roof with six dormers. A south wing was added in the 19th century. Inside, there is a traceried fanlight between the hall and corridor.
