Description
Wall Cottage Westons is a building dating from the 16th and 17th centuries, with origins around 1650. It is constructed of red brick and features two storeys with an attic gable facing the road. The side elevation displays three gables, with the east gable rebuilt after sustaining war damage. There are three 2-light casement windows with wooden surrounds, transoms, and mullions, all topped with flat arches. The roof is covered with old tiles.
The building has later additions to the north and south. The south wing is an early 18th-century addition, also two storeys, with a hipped old tile roof. The north wing consists of part early 18th-century construction and part modern work, featuring two storeys, two double-hung sash windows, two modern casements, and a machine tile roof.
Wall Cottage Westons, along with Savile House and No. 2 Westons, forms a group of buildings of architectural interest.
