Description

The Waterman’s Arms is a 17th-century public house, altered in the 18th century. It is constructed of red brick with a stucco front. The building is two storeys and has attics, originally featuring three sash windows, now casements, with cambered relieving arches above. A 19th-century two-fold door is located on the right-hand corner, set diagonally beneath a projecting first floor and flanked by Tuscan pilasters. Bands run at floor levels, and the roof is hipped with old tiles. The interior retains an original, plain dog-legged staircase with turned balusters.
