Description

Eton College Boathouse is an early 18th-century red brick building situated facing the River Thames, with modern additions towards the street. The structure has two storeys and attics, featuring four double-hung sash windows and one casement window. The ground floor includes four wide openings designed for boats, while the first floor has a right-hand 18th-century oriel wood bay with three windows, weather boarding, and two side windows in the main wall, all framed with wood architraves. The building is topped with a modillion brick cornice, an old tile roof, and four dormers. It is noted as the only building of significant character facing the river.
