Description
The kiosk located to the south-east of the cottage in Frogmore Grounds is an Indian-style structure dating from the 19th century. It is octagonal in shape and features open round arches, topped with an onion dome that has deep eaves. The kiosk is made entirely of marble and is adorned with a delicate pierced balustrade and base. This structure was originally taken from the Kaiserbagh at Lucknow and was brought to the UK in 1858 by Viceroy Earl Canning.
