Description

The railway bridge carrying the Windsor Slough Line over the Thames was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel and built in 1849. It features a bow and string design made of wrought iron truss girder construction, which is a precursor to Brunel's later work at Saltash. The bridge has a single span of 202 feet supported by arcaded brick abutments.
