Description

Frouds Farmhouse is a late 16th-century farmhouse, with 17th and 19th-century additions. It is timber framed with curved braces and brick nogging, with a tile-hung gable end to the southeast and a tile-hung first floor to the rear. The roof is tiled, with a projecting half-hipped wing to the left, and two stacks. The original plan is of two framed bays, arranged in an L-shape. The house has two storeys and a garret. The left wing has two 20th-century casement windows on the ground floor; a door is set back to the right, with a 20th-century casement window above. A 19th-century one-storey addition is to the right, featuring two 20th-century casement windows and a door.
