Description

The Hind's Head Inn is an inn dating from the 17th century, with additions from the 18th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a tiled roof. The building has a large central rendered gable with a clock, flanked by two gabled dormers that contain leaded casements. At the top, there is a central wooden cupola topped with a ball and lead cap, which has a fox weathervane. The inn has two storeys and an attic, with leaded casements throughout.

On the first floor, there are three cross windows, a blank window to the left, and a blank circular window at the far left. The ground floor has a central two-light window, a three-light window to the left, and a four-light window to the right. The block to the right of the main building is two storeys high and has one three-light casement on each floor, along with a half-glazed door to the left that features a fluted architrave and a bracketed flat hood. The block to the left has a gambrel roof, two dormers with glazing bar sashes, and a stack at the rear. This block also has two storeys and an attic, with three bays of glazing bar sashes in exposed wooden boxes. There is a six-panelled door to the right with glazed upper panels, framed by a doorcase with fluted pilasters that support a frieze and cornice.
