Description

Three cottages, located on the south side of Fisherman’s Lane in Aldermaston, date from the 17th century, although they were re-faced in the 18th century. They are timber-framed with brick facing, using both red and grey brick. The roof is tiled, with an off-centre ridge stack on the right and a rear stack to the right. The cottages are two storeys high with garrets. The front elevation presents three framed bays, with three first-floor casement windows, interspersed with blank windows. The ground floor has three segmental-headed casement windows, with a blank window between the second and third windows from the left. Three doorways have segmental heads, each with a boarded door, located on the left, between the first and second windows from the left, and on the right.
