Description

Old Mill House is a mid-18th century mill house that has been converted into a hotel, with 19th century additions to the right and rear. The building is constructed of red brick with grey headers and features a plat band. It has a moulded brick eaves cornice beneath an old tiled roof, which includes an end stack to the right, two symmetrically placed ridge stacks, and two hipped dormers with casement windows. The house is two storeys tall and has five bays, with glazing bar sash windows featuring exposed wooden boxes and segmental heads on the ground floor. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door with glazed upper panels, a rectangular fanlight, and a 20th century hipped porch. To the right, there is a 19th century one bay addition with tripartite sash windows.
