Description
Holybrook Cottage is a house dating from the 15th century, with a 17th century addition on the left and a 20th century addition on the right at the rear. It is timber framed with white painted brick nogging and an old tile roof. The structure features two framed bays on the left and a gabled cross wing on the right, which may be part of a former open hall. The house has two storeys, with arch bracing and a redundant crown post truss visible in the gable to the right, along with a large central ridge stack.
On the first floor, there are three two-light leaded casements, while the ground floor has a two-light leaded casement on the right and a 20th century bay window with five leaded lights and a pent roof on the left. There is a two-leaf 20th century boarded door on the left and a boarded door on the right. Inside, there is a 17th century fireplace with a chamfered lintel and a salt cupboard, as well as a 17th century staircase featuring a square newel, a globe finial, and cut balusters.
