Description
Compton House is a house dating from the late 18th century and 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a tiled roof. The building has an L-shaped plan, with a gabled cross-wing on the east side. It stands two storeys tall with an attic, and has three gabled dormers on the south side, along with two chimneys positioned behind the ridge.
On the south elevation, there are three glazing bar sash windows to the left, and one glazing bar sash window in the gable to the right. To the left, there is a central half-glazed door that is sheltered by a timber portico supported by square piers and topped with a flat canopy, which is accessed by three stone steps. Additionally, there is a tripartite French casement window with marginal glazing in the cross-wing to the right. Access to the property was not permitted at the time of the survey.
