Description
Kirtons Farmhouse is a 16th-century farmhouse that has been altered in the 18th and 20th centuries. The building features a timber-framed upper level with painted brick infill, while the ground floor is mostly covered in painted brick. It has old tile roofs that are hipped and gabled. The layout is H-shaped, with the central two framed bays flanked by two crosswings, each containing two framed bays. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has flanking chimneys, along with a large tall chimney on the north side, which is likely an inglenook and projects from the wall. The 20th-century windows are two-light scattered casements, and there is a small gabled entrance porch on the west side, positioned to the right of the center.
