Description
This is a house located at 45 Shooter's Hill, built around 1890. It is constructed of red brick with planted timber on the first floor and features a tile roof. The building has an irregular plan and stands two storeys tall. Notable architectural elements include a projecting gabled wing off-centre to the left, which has a ground floor window with mullions and transoms, and a four-light first floor window with a radial fanlight above the centre two lights.
To the right, there is a large projecting gabled wing with a canted bay on the ground floor, an oriel window on the first floor that jetties on brackets, and a gable end that also jetties on brackets with a weathervane at the apex. There is a gable set back to the right, featuring a first floor balcony and a glazed verandah below with a glazed door. Additionally, there is a two-storey angled square bay to the right with mullioned and transomed windows on both floors.
This house is part of a group of houses sometimes referred to as 'The Seven Deadly Sins' and is included for its group value.
