Description
Bankside is a house built around 1890, constructed of red brick with planted timbers on the first floor, tile-hung gables, and a tiled roof. The building has two storeys and features a central gabled dormer and three chimney stacks. Notable architectural elements include two gabled projections, each with a mullioned and transomed window on both floors and decorated barge boards. There is a central timber porch with a half-glazed door set back, and above it, a balcony with a canopy formed by extended eaves. To the right, there is a timber verandah with a balcony above. The left gable end has a first-floor oriel window with coving above. This house is part of a group of houses sometimes referred to as 'The Seven Deadly Sins' and is included for its group value.
