Description

This is an 18th-century brick house located on the east side of Lambourn High Street. The two-storey building has a plinth, a first-floor string, and offset dentil eaves. The roof is tiled, with chimneys at either end. It features three vertically sliding sash windows with glazing bars in near-flush frames. The ground-floor windows have keystones. The central entrance has a six-panel door recessed within a doorcase featuring fluted pilasters with a cap moulding and a diamond panel above. A moulded, dentilled, flat hood covers the door, approached by three stone steps. Attached to the right is a single-storey wing constructed of sarsen rubble with brick dressings and a tiled parapet with a dentil course. This wing has one door and one window set in cambered brick surrounds.
