Description

32 and 34 High Street are a house and cottage, dating to the early 19th century, although they stand on the site of an older building. The main block has been refaced with painted stucco and has wide, flat eaves beneath a slate roof, with a chimney stack. It features three windows: a modern central window, and vertical sliding sash windows with glazing bars in the flanking reveals. The central doorway has a porch supported by octagonal columns, an entablature, and a flat hood with a panelled soffit, with fluted pilasters. The approach is via five stone steps. To the right is a lower, two-storey range with one window and a six-panelled door under a flat hood supported by cut brackets; the hood is now missing.
