Description
This is an 18th-century house located on the east side of High Street in Lambourn. It is constructed of colourwashed brick with an old tile roof. The front of the house features a shop to the left and a doorway and window to the right. To the left, the shop has two deep, segmental bow windows with 7 x 4 panes of glazing bars, and a central door sheltered by a plain, flat hood. The right-hand side has a single-light and a three-light casement window. Further to the right is a single door and a plain glazed window, both with cambered heads. The upper floor has two x three light iron-framed, timber leaded casement windows. The building was illustrated in Murray’s Guide to Berkshire.
