Description
Thornford Cottage is a cottage that was originally part of a pair. It features a plastered timber frame, with the gable ends exposed. The roof is half hipped and thatched, with a central ridge stack and an end stack on the right side. There are three eyebrow semi-dormers. The cottage is designed with a lobby entrance and has one and a half storeys. The front has an irregular arrangement of five windows, all of which are casements. There are two doors located to the right and to the right of centre; the former was glazed and the latter is boarded. Above the left doorway, there is a fire insurance plaque.
