Description

Manor Farm House is a farmhouse that dates from the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of brick and has tiled roofs. The earliest section of the building runs east to west, while a square plan 18th-century block is located at the west end. The east block has two storeys, and the west block has three storeys. The east block features a large 16th-century stack, which was rebuilt in the 20th century, on its north side. The west block has bands at the floor levels and at the base of the parapet on both the north and south sides, as well as a dentilled eaves cornice on the east and west sides, a hipped roof, and an off-centre chimney on the south side.

On the north elevation, the east block has four casement windows to the left of the large stack, with a base made of chalk and flint in a chequer pattern. A catslide roof extends forward over an outshut to the right, which has a hipped 20th-century dormer above coupled glazing-bar sashes. The west block is divided into three bays by full-height pilasters, with all windows being glazing-bar sashes that have exposed box frames beneath rubbed brick arches with large keystones. The first-floor windows have cambered heads, while the ground-floor windows have semi-circular arches and brick tympana. Each bay contains one window, with the end bays being narrower. There is a central six-panel door located under a gabled 19th-century porch.

The west elevation is divided into two bays by full-height pilasters. The windows here are also glazing-bar sashes with exposed box frames and cambered heads. The left bay has one window on the second floor, while the right bay has two windows on the first and second floors. There is a six-panel door in a semi-circular arched opening in the left bay of the ground floor, and a recessed glazing-bar sash in the right bay of the ground floor.
