Description
There are three adjoining barns located approximately 40 meters to the northwest of the Church of St. James. The eastern barn dates from the 18th century and features a timber frame with brick walls and a half-hipped tiled roof on the east side. It has a wagon entrance on the south and a hipped wagon entrance on the north. This barn consists of four framed bays with an aisle to the north, supported by queen strut trusses and both longitudinal and transverse bracing.
The central barn is from the 19th century, also timber framed, with weatherboarded sides and a tiled roof. It has a hipped wagon entrance to the north and contains five framed bays with an aisle to the north, supported by queen post trusses and longitudinal and transverse bracing.
The western barn, also from the 19th century, is timber framed with weatherboarded sides and a hipped tiled roof. It features wagon entrances on the north and west sides, five framed bays with aisles to the west, and is similarly supported by queen post trusses and longitudinal and transverse bracing.
