Description
Pangbourne County Primary School is a school built in 1895-1896 by Leonard Stokes. It is constructed of grey brick with red dressings and bands, featuring tile hanging and a tile roof. The building is single storey and has mullioned and transomed windows with glazing bar sashes.
On the east front, there is a plinth and a large ridge stack that is off-centre to the left, which contains an arch with a bell. To the left, there is an end stack, and at the rear, there are three tapered stacks, one of which is flanked by two flat-topped dormers. There is a large, slightly projecting tile-hung gable off-centre to the left that features a large six-light window. To the right of this gable, there are three gabled semi-dormers with small connecting arches at the eaves level and large cross windows. To the left, there are two gabled semi-dormers with a small connecting arch at the eaves level and large cross windows. Beneath the second window from the left, there are two 20th-century glazed doors. The tile-hung gable end to the right has a large mullioned and transomed window.
