Description
This lych gate, built around 1900 by E. Swinfen Harris, is located approximately 25 meters southeast of the Church of St. Mark. It features low walls made of flint with stone dressings, and a timber-framed superstructure. The roof is hipped and covered with old tiles, showcasing sprocketed eaves that overhang to the northwest, supported by brackets. The roof also has a lead ridge and finials topped with a wrought iron cross. The gate has five bays on each side with 2-light panels and includes two wooden gates on the southeast side, which are adorned with turned balusters. An inscription on the lintel reads: 'Let it be your care to go humbly to your grave.'
