Description
The Wilson Tomb, located approximately 16 metres to the east of the north aisle chapel of the Church of St. Andrew, is a chest tomb dating from 1776. It is constructed of ashlar and has a square plan. The tomb features a moulded base, a fluted frieze adorned with paterae, and a cornice. Its top is truncated pyramidal, also with a fluted frieze and a weathered cap. The corners are shaped with balusters, and the sides are panelled. The inscription on the tomb is illegible at the time of resurvey.
