Description
26 Newbury Street is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is two storeys high and constructed of squared sarsen stone, featuring brick dressings and quoins. The building has a first-floor string course, aprons beneath the windows, and moulded eaves. The roof is covered with old tiles and there are chimneys on either side. All the openings in the house have rounded corners. There are five windows, with the second from the left being blocked and rendered, and it features a wood mullion and transom with altered glazing from the 19th century. On the ground floor, there is a central four-panelled door flanked by blank windows.
