Description
The Goods Shed to the former Terminus Station is a mid-19th century building, likely designed by Sir William Tite, showcasing Gothic style. This single-storey structure is made of brick and features a glass roof. The southeast elevation has eight gables, each containing a tall window with a Gothic arched recess and a thin stone hood moulding. A canopy extends over four of these windows. At the south end, there is a central Gothic-shaped arch flanked by two blank Gothic arches. Attached to the south side is a two-storey red brick extension with a slate roof and a gable end supported by kneelers. This extension includes two windows with Gothic arched hood moulding on the west elevation and four ordinary sash windows on the south elevation. The building is an early example of a goods shed designed in a flamboyant architectural style.
