Description

Nos 7, 8 and 9 Rockstone Place are a group of three houses dating to around 1835. They are joined to Nos 4, 5, 6, 10, 11 and 12. No 9 was damaged during the Second World War and rebuilt in 1949 to match the original. The houses are three storeys high with a basement, built of stucco, with the ground floor rusticated. There are nine windows in total, with the central three set back. A parapet and eaves cornice tops the facade, featuring a pediment above the central three windows. Bands mark the divisions between floors. The windows are sash windows with intact glazing bars; those on the ground floor have cornices and brackets above. Three round-headed doorcases are present, with the central one, leading to No 8, featuring a cornice and brackets. No 8 also has cast iron balconettes to its ground floor windows.
