Description

This is a chest tomb dated 1712, located approximately 8 meters south of the south aisle of the Church of St. Laurence. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features two fielded panels on each side and one at each end. The tomb has corner pilasters with sunken panels and a moulded top that includes a carved heraldic device. The inscription reads: "Here Rest the Bodies of JOHN STYLE son of ROBERT STYLE late of Upton Court in this Parish. Gent. Ob. 27 May 1712 Aged 66."
