Description

This is a chest tomb dated 1738, located approximately 11 metres south of the south aisle of the Church of St. Laurence. It is constructed of ashlar and features two fielded panels on each side and one at each end, with panelled corner pilasters. The tomb has a moulded top adorned with a carved heraldic device. The inscription reads: "Here resteth the Body of HANNAH STYLE daughter of JOHN and RUTH sometime of DITTON in the parish of STOKE. She died Oct ? 1738 Aged 57 Years."
