Description

The Fryer Tomb, located approximately 6 metres to the south of the chancel of the Church of St Laurence, is a chest tomb dating from around 1790. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features two bay sides and one bay end, adorned with Doric pilasters and a moulded top. The tomb is inscribed with the name of Martha, the wife of George Fryer of Chancery Lane, London, noting her birth on June 4, 1767, and her death on April 7, 179?.
