Description

This is a circa 1852 terrace of six houses, numbered 43 to 49, South Street. It was likely designed by J.J. Cooper. The front of the terrace is faced in Bath ashlar, while the rear is built of flint with brick dressings and quoins. Each house has two floors and a basement, with sash windows featuring glazing bars. The ground floor is channelled and features a band above. A plain fascia runs along the cornice and parapet. The doors have been altered. The roof is slate, and number 43 retains fleur-de-lys arrowhead rails to its basement windows.
