Description

The entrance gates and gate piers to Caversham Park, dating from around 1850, are possibly designed by J T Crews. They feature tall square gate piers made of ashlar stone, topped with ball finials. The gates are made of ornamental wrought and cast iron, and there are flanking pedestrian gates with outer cast iron standards. The design includes reverse quadrant railings, with end piers also capped by ball finials.
