Description
This is a chest tomb dating from around 1800, located approximately 5 meters south of the chancel of the Church of St Peter and St Paul in Wymering, Portsmouth. The tomb is made of ashlar and features unembellished flush stone sides and a lid, which are set on a plinth. The top slab is weathered, and the top, bottom, and corner edges are adorned with a decorative band of Greek key moulding. The lettering on the tomb is currently illegible.
