Description
This horse trough was built in 1881 by A Dench and is made of granite. It features end supports and a tray underneath. The inscription on the trough reads, "Presented to this town by the Committee of the Portsmouth and Gosport Branch of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals AD1881. A Dench maker. R. Marvin Esq President." The trough is not located in its original position.
