Description

31 Market Place is a building from the 17th and 18th centuries that has been altered over time. It features a datestone inscribed "GWE 1622," although it is now nearly unreadable. The structure is made of stone and has a tiled roof with a flat-topped dormer. It stands two stories tall, with a modern shop front on the ground floor. The first floor has two squat sash windows set in wide wooden cases that are almost flush with the wall surface. These windows are adorned with stone lintels, keystones, and cills.
