Description
The Old Rectory is a house built in 1800. It features a stucco exterior and a hipped old tile roof behind a plain parapet, with unsymmetrical chimneys. The building has two storeys and a first-floor string course. The north elevation has five bays, with the three right-hand bays containing blank windows. To the left, there is one bay that is recessed, linking the main block to a similar two-bay section that is also recessed. The west elevation also has five bays, with the center bay featuring a two-storey segmental bow that includes a central first-floor sash window, flanked by blank window recesses. On the ground floor, sash windows are positioned on either side of a central six-panel door, which is set in deep panelled reveals and has a doorcase adorned with Doric pilasters and an entablature that includes panels and roundels in the frieze. Inside, the house retains its original staircase, chimney pieces, and doors.
