Description

The kitchen garden walls and attached buildings, constructed in 1793 and later, are located to the north-east of Tyringham Hall. Partly designed by the architect John Soane, the structures include a cottage made of rubble stone with a hipped slate roof that features projecting eaves. A modern porch is present, along with two-light casement windows with stone arches on the first floor, and a similar window on each floor of the flank elevation.

There are one-storey wings made of stone with slate roofs, each consisting of six bays. The right wing connects to the outer wall of the stable block, while the left wing links with the brick garden wall. This wall adjoins the house from the 19th century, which is rendered and has a hipped slate roof with projecting eaves. The house features canted bay windows on either side of a six flush panel front door set in a trellis porch. On the first floor, there are three sash windows with louvred shutters, and quoired pilasters flank the entrance. The left wing is also one storey, made of stone with a slate roof, comprising six bays with two doors and four windows, and has rendered lintels over stone arches. The site is included for its group value.
