Description
Manor House is a building that dates back to the 16th century and has been significantly altered, with a 17th-century wing added. It was modified in 1701 by Sir Thomas Pinfold and features a modern west wing. The house was originally timber framed on a stone base, with brick infill and rebuilding, and is partly stuccoed and painted. It has tiled roofs and a large stone chimney on the southwest gable, with brick shafts. There are two other chimneys that have three diagonal set brick shafts and have been rebuilt. The building is two storeys high with an attic.
The east front has projecting gables with bargeboards on either side. It features two-light attic windows and three and four-light casements and sashes below. Between the gables, there are two bays of three-light casements, with an entrance that has a modern porch. The south front displays irregular late 18th-century sash windows and one door. The west front has three gables: the right-hand gable is from the 16th century and includes a chimney and a small three-light patterned leaded casement on the ground floor; the central gable is from the 17th century, and the left-hand gable is modern. Inside, the house has moulded beams, although it has been altered.
