Description

Walton Lodge Cottage is a mid-19th century cottage, originally designed as a pair of dwellings, built in a "cottage orné" style. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone with a hipped tiled roof. The roof features a central brick chimney and a crested ridge. The cottage has 1½ storeys, a stone band, and a large central gable with scalloped bargeboards and applied timbering to the rendered apex. The front elevation has two three-light casement windows with patterned cast iron glazing. A door is located on the left-hand side, with a matching window positioned within a balancing doorway on the right-hand side. Segmental stone arches frame the ground floor openings.
