Description

October Cottage is a cottage that was formerly two cottages, dating from the 18th century. The building is two storeys high and has five bays. It is constructed of coursed rubblestone and features thatch roofing, with a modern tiled roof on the west bay. The windows are irregular casements, and there is a board door located in the fifth bay, which is sheltered by a hipped thatched hood. The south elevation has two small attic windows that are recessed into the thatch just below the ridge. The cottage has an end stack and shares a party stack with Number 6.
