Description
Numbers 56 and 58 on High Street are a pair of cottages dating from the 17th century, which have been altered over time. The cottages are part one storey and attic, and part two storeys, constructed from colourwashed rubblestone. They feature a thatched roof, with some areas covered in old tiles. The street-facing elevation has a gable with one bay on the right side, and includes 2-light casements above a 3-light window. The remainder of the elevation has one upper 2-light casement that breaks the eaves, along with two three-light casements and two doors. The right-hand flank elevation consists of three bays with irregular casements, a stack positioned between the left-hand bays, and one eaves-breaking window on the first floor.
