Description
The dovecote at Haversham Manor, located south of St. Mary's Church, dates from 1665. It is constructed of coursed rubblestone and features an old tile roof. The building has a square plan topped with a pyramid roof that includes a cupola and a wrought iron weather vane. There is a doorway in the west wall and a high three-light oak framed window on the south wall. On the north wall, a date stone is inscribed with 'M.T. 1665', referencing Maurice Thompson, who purchased the manor in 1664. The interior walls are lined with stone nest-boxes.
