Description

This section of the Roman wall, located 20 metres south of the former Deanery, which is now the King's School Sixth Form Centre, dates back to possibly the early 3rd century. The wall is constructed of coursed rubble, primarily clunch, and features a significant amount of exposed rubble core. It has been repaired with renewed coping and some patching. The wall extends for approximately 30 metres and stands about 1.5 metres high.
