Description
Manor Farmhouse is a timber-framed farmhouse, largely dating to the late 16th century, although it was extensively rebuilt following a fire around 1910. The exterior displays exposed timber framing with close-studding and plaster infilling. The roof is tiled, featuring a very large stack to the right with four clustered octagonal brick shafts on an arcaded brick base, and a further stack to the left with two octagonal shafts. The farmhouse is two storeys high, with a jetty extending over the ground floor and at eaves level. The front has three windows, with a two-storey bay to the right and one-storey bays located under the jetty in the centre and to the left, and a further one-storey bay on the first floor centrally. The entrance is on the left side. Internally, a late 17th-century staircase is present. Late 16th-century panelling can be found in the north bedroom on the first floor. The property includes brick cellars with arches and drains.
