Description
Atherfield Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely originated in the 17th century, with an early 18th-century front that was refenestrated in the 19th century. It is constructed from Isle of Wight stone rubble and features a tiled roof with a brick chimneystack. The building has two storeys and attics in the gable ends, with two windows. It is L-shaped, and the front includes 5-light casements along with a 19th-century gabled weather porch that has fretted bargeboards. The L-wing is of a lower elevation. The interior has not been inspected. This farmhouse is noted as an original Domesday Manor.
