Description
Sunnyside is a house dating from the late 17th century, constructed from Isle of Wight stone rubble. It features a half-hipped thatched roof with a brick chimneystack. The building has one storey and attics in the gable end, with two windows that are stone mullioned casements fitted with leaded lights. A modern stone weatherporch, which is thatched and glazed, has been added to the front. The house has a plinth and the interior includes a spine beam with a 3-inch chamfer and lambs tongue stop, as well as an open fireplace with a bread oven. Notably, there is some reused oak panelling from the Cunard liner S.S. Mauretania.
