Description
Stonesteps is a cottage that dates back to the 18th century and was extended in the early 19th century and later. It is constructed of coursed stone rubble with red brick dressings. The cottage features a thatched roof with an end brick chimneystack on the original part and another end brick chimneystack on the extension. The building has two storeys and three windows in the original section, which are casement windows. There is a plain doorcase with a later weather hood. On the left side, there is a one-bay early 19th-century extension made of matching materials, topped with a slate roof and end brick chimney-stacks. At the rear, there is a catslide roof, likely from the early 19th century, which also has a slate roof and three casements.
